5. Spray and dispersion mist method: Spray and dispersion mist method is to make liquid or semi-liquid materials in a highly dispersed state directly become solid pellets in a specific device. This type of pellet machine includes spray drying tower, spray dryer, granulation tower, spouted bed and fluidized bed dryer, and air flow conveying dryer.
The common characteristics of this spray and dispersion mist granulation method are: liquid feed must be pumpable and dispersible; the granulation process should usually be continuous, automated and large-scale operation; the granulation system must be designed to recover or recycle the material to solve the wear and tear of the material and the phenomenon of powder entrainment; the product pellet size is generally limited to less than 5 mm. The advantage of this type of equipment is that the granulation process and drying process of the material are carried out simultaneously. This equipment can be widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, mining and ceramic industries.
Its disadvantages are low pellet strength and small pellet size. Currently, this type of equipment can produce pellets with a diameter as small as 50 to 500 microns, or even smaller, and the maximum output can exceed 30 tons/hour (such as urea granulation tower, etc.).
