Why do wood chips need to be made into pellets before burning? (II)

2024-09-13 10:23:47

2. The volume of burning raw materials causes waste of plant area

1 ton of wood chip pellets occupies an area of 1m³, while 1 ton of wood chips occupies an area of 4m³. For customers using large boilers, burning raw materials with too much floor space is a serious waste of resources. Boilers will have open flames when burning, and wood chips will generate dust during transportation or stacking, which may cause dust storms.

3. Transportation costs

If one car can transport 10 tons of pellets, then 10 cars are needed to transport the same amount of wood chips, and our transportation costs are also very high.

4. Pollution of wood chips to the environment

Wood chips are very light. If they encounter a slight amount of wind during transportation and storage, they will fly everywhere, which will not only pollute the environment, but also cause harm to the human body.

In summary, burning wood chips into pellets using a biomass pellet machine has more advantages than direct burning.
