The roller is used to squeeze the material into the ring die. Since the roller is subjected to friction and extrusion for a long time, JNSHARE Machinery processes the outer circumferential surface of the roller into a toothed shape, which not only enhances the wear resistance but also makes it easier to grab the bulk material. The working conditions of the roller are relatively bad. In addition to the normal wear of the roller by the raw materials, the biomass raw materials such as straw and wood chips contain hard pelletsuch as sand, gravel, silicide and iron filings, which aggravate the wear of the roller. Since the linear speed of the roller and the ring die is basically equal, the diameter of the roller is only 0.4 of the inner diameter of the ring die, so the wear rate of the roller is 2.5 times higher than that of the ring die. The theoretical design life of the roller is 800h, but the actual use time does not exceed 600h. Due to improper use, some users have used it for less than 500h, and the failed roller cannot be repaired due to severe surface wear. Excessive wear of the roller not only reduces the forming rate of pellet fuel and increases production costs, but also directly affects productivity. In addition, when the biomass pellet machine roller is severely worn and the depth of the wear layer exceeds 70% of the thickness of the roller working layer, the forming rate of the biomass pellethas dropped below 75%. We believe that it has failed. At this time, the grabbing ability of the roller is significantly reduced, the discharge speed is reduced, the bulk material increases, and the pits on the outer surface increase rapidly.
