What are the forms of granulation? Pressure forming granulation method

2024-09-09 10:25:30

Our company’s main business is pellet machine and various complete sets of pellet machine.

4. Pressure forming granulation method

The pressure forming method is to confine the powder material to be granulated in a specific space and compress it into a dense state by applying external force. According to the different physical systems of the applied external force, the pressure forming method can be divided into molding method, extrusion method and extrusion spheronization granulation method.

4.1 Molding method Typical molding equipment includes heavy-duty briquetting machine, desktop press, concrete block press, brick press, heavy-duty tablet machine, etc. Its advantage is that it can produce larger lumps, and the materials produced also have considerable mechanical strength. The disadvantage is that the application range of the equipment is small, and it is not easy to demold some materials. This type of equipment is mostly used in construction, pharmaceutical and other fields.

4.2 Extrusion method: Extrusion method is currently the main method of pressure forming granulation in my country's powder industry. According to the working principle and structure, the extrusion granulation equipment can be divided into vacuum pressure rod granulator, single (double) screw extrusion granulator, model punch, plunger extruder, roller extruder, roller gear granulator, etc. This type of equipment can be widely used in petrochemical, organic chemical, fine chemical, medicine, food, feed, fertilizer and other fields. This method has the advantages of strong adaptability, large output, uniform pellet size, good pellet strength and high granulation rate.

4.3 Extrusion spheronization granulation method: The extrusion spheronization granulation method is to first extrude the wet mass drug into strips through the sieve plate, cut it into rod-shaped small pellets, and then roll it into round pellets in the centrifugal disk. This method is simple, practical and efficient, with high pellet density. The true sphericity and surface finish of the pellets depend on the rotation speed of the turntable and the spheronization time, and there is a slight convexity and concave phenomenon. It is a more ideal method for manufacturing high-density pellets.
