What are the forms of granulation? Stirring granulation method

2024-09-04 10:15:25

Our company's main business is pellet machine and various complete sets of pellet machine.

1. Stirring granulation method

The stirring granulation method is to infiltrate a certain liquid or binder into solid fine powder and stir it appropriately, so that the liquid and solid fine powder are in close contact with each other, generating bonding force to form granules. The more commonly used stirring method is to complete it through the flipping, rolling and curtain-like falling movement of the disc, cone or cylindrical drum during rotation.

According to the molding method, it can be divided into rolling granulation, mixed granulation and powder agglomeration. Typical equipment includes granulation drum, inclined disc granulator, cone drum granulator, disc granulator, drum granulator, kneading machine, drum mixer, powder blender (hammer type, vertical shaft type, belt type), curtain granulator, etc.

The advantages of the stirring method are simple molding equipment structure, large single machine output, and the formed pelletare easy to dissolve quickly and have strong wet permeability. The disadvantage is that the particle uniformity is not good and the formed pellethave low strength. At present, the maximum processing capacity of this type of equipment can reach 500 tons/hour, and the maximum particle diameter can reach 600 mm. It is mostly used in mineral processing, fertilizers, fine chemicals, food and other fields.
